Gerry's dealing with early onset Alzheimer's disease. He also watched as his father wrestled with the disease just after his retirement. Joan is passionate about raising funds for this disease. Heartwrenching and inspirational. Hearing stories first hand from family members personalized this very tragic disease. The pod cast helped me better understand the sense of "loss and confusion" associated with those who live with the disease, the patients and their families.
